The reticle is generally mounted on the focal plane of the right eyepiece of the telescope. It is a thin glass with a densely lined surface on the surface of a polar book. Since this thin glass is theoretically involved in imaging, the focal length of the objective lens is extended. Will have more or less influence on the length of the right eyepiece.
